Dunajec River Rafting Tour from Zakopane

Spend a day in the Pieniny region combining a short cultural stop, the classic Dunajec River rafting route and free time in Szczawnica.

Starting with pickup from your accommodation in Zakopane, Kościelisko, Bukowina Tatrzańska, Białka Tatrzańska or the surrounding area, travel towards the Dunajec with a short stop in Dębno to see the historic wooden church.

From there, continue to the rafting harbour and join the traditional wooden raft trip through the Dunajec River Gorge. The route to Szczawnica takes around 2 hours 15 minutes and passes through one of the best-known landscapes in Pieniny National Park.

After the rafting, enjoy around 1 hour of free time in Szczawnica for lunch, a short walk or coffee before meeting your driver for the return journey.

Includes hotel pickup, shared transport and the full sightseeing route with all planned stops.

Private Tour
Follows the same itinerary with a vehicle reserved only for you and your group. If you would prefer a different departure time or would like to adjust the pace of the tour, add your request in the booking notes and we will accommodate it whenever possible.

The traditional Dunajec rafting season runs from 1 April to 31 October. Rafting operates daily during the season except for selected holidays and may be affected by weather or river conditions.

The rafting route to Szczawnica takes approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. We recommend comfortable clothing and an extra layer or light rain protection, as weather in the Pieniny can change during the day.

After the rafting you will have around 1 hour in Szczawnica for lunch or a short walk. Food and drinks are not included.

Cancellation policy: Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the tour.

Every booking is manually checked before confirmation to make sure the tour is genuinely available and can be operated as planned. This helps us avoid overbooking and last-minute availability issues.

Group tours operate with a minimum of 4 participants. If the minimum number is not reached, we may offer another available date or cancel the tour. If Zakofy cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund. Private tours are confirmed specifically for your booking and operate regardless of the number of participants.
