Strbske Pleso and the Slovak High Tatras from Zakopane

Cross into Slovakia for a relaxed half-day trip to Strbske Pleso, one of the best-known mountain lakes in the High Tatras.

Starting with pickup from your accommodation in Zakopane, Kościelisko, Bukowina Tatrzańska, Białka Tatrzańska or the surrounding area, travel through the Tatra region to the Slovak side of the mountains.

At Strbske Pleso you will have around 3 hours of free time. Walk around the lake, take in the mountain views and stop for lunch at one of the local restaurants. When operating, rowing boats can also be rented directly at the lake.

This tour is a simple way to see the Slovak High Tatras without a demanding hike, while still having enough time to enjoy the lake and surrounding scenery at your own pace.

Group or Private Tour?

Group Tour
Includes hotel pickup, shared transport and the full sightseeing route with all planned stops.

Private Tour
Follows the same itinerary with a vehicle reserved only for you and your group. If you would prefer a different departure time or would like to adjust the pace of the tour, add your request in the booking notes and we will accommodate it whenever possible.

This tour crosses the Polish-Slovak border, so please carry a valid travel document with you.

Weather in the High Tatras can change quickly. Comfortable footwear and clothing suitable for changing mountain conditions are recommended.
You will have around three hours of free time at Štrbské Pleso for a walk around the lake, photos and lunch. Food and drinks are not included.

Rowing boats may be available depending on the season and weather conditions. Boat rental is optional and not included in the tour price.

Cancellation policy: Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the tour.

Every booking is manually checked before confirmation to make sure the tour is genuinely available and can be operated as planned. This helps us avoid overbooking and last-minute availability issues.

Group tours operate with a minimum of 4 participants. If the minimum number is not reached, we may offer another available date or cancel the tour. If Zakofy cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund. Private tours are confirmed specifically for your booking and operate regardless of the number of participants.
